WEYI CWP/Phaphama Graduation Ceremony

The Phaphama initiative on the 25th of October treated it’s beneficiaries to a graduation ceremony, rewarding them and thanking them for participating fully in the community program. We’re handed certificates so that they can officially be qualified Mentors and SAFA registered Coaches.

The event was also graced by the presence of Tebogo Makolwane Chairperson of the West Rand Stakeholders Forum, Gavin Anderson, from the Seriti institute who has been on board from it’s inception, Mzwakhe Mashinini who is the Secretary of SAFA Westrand Regional office, Peter Campbell, W.O Ndumiso, Palesa Pitiki and Tebogo Nong.

We as Bekkersdal Reborn Celebrate the wonderful work done by CWP, Phaphama Initiative, WeYI and Seriti Institute. We also thank the youth of Bekkersdal for having taken this wonderful initiative and completed the tasks given

Ekstein Foundation bringing hope to the Youth of Bekkersdal

Soccer is one sport that has really captured the hearts of the township youth and it has had good results within the community of Bekkersdal creating legends who have really made a mark within South Africa. One such talent is Ekstein, The young creative midfielder is a Kaizer Chiefs youth product having honed his skills at the club’s academy. Ekstein was promoted to the first team at the start of the 2015/16 season following an impressive run of form with the reserve side in the Multi Choice Diski Challenge. His progress in the first team has been a steady one with impressive performances that have allowed him to garner support from the Amakhosi followers.

His foundation, the Ekstein Foundation aims to bring hope the the community that he grew up in. We celebrate your contribution to this Township that needs all the help that it can get, we thank you as your community
